PetroReconcavo signed with Petrobras, on December 23rd 2020, the contract for the purchase of the 12 fields of the so called Remanso Cluster, located in the Recôncavo Basin.
The cluster comprises the following Fields: Brejinho, Canabrava, Cassarongongo, Fazenda Belém, Gomo, Mata de São João, Norte Fazenda Caruaçu, Remanso, Rio dos Ovos, Rio Subaúma, São Pedro and Sesmaria.
These fields have been operated by PetroReconcavo since 2000, through an incremental production contract with Petrobras. With the purchase of the Cluster, PetroReconcavo will become the concessionaire for these 12 fields. This acquisition is an important milestone in a history of more than 20 years of pioneering and success in the revitalization of mature fields.
