In yet another milestone in consolidating its operations in the Potiguar Basin, PetroReconcavo acquired last Friday, 12/04, an Exploration Block for oil and natural gas.
The company presented the proposal during the event “2nd Permanent Offer Cycle of Brazil” held in Rio de Janeiro, with the presence of several authorities, among them the Minister of Mines and Energy, Bento Albuquerque. The next steps will be the presentation of guarantees for compliance with the Minimum Exploratory Program and the signing of the Concession Contract, expected to occur by the end of the first half of 2021.
For João Vitor, Director of Regulation and New Business, the Permanent Offer is an appropriate instrument for the development portfolio of PetroReconcavo, since during the evaluation of the reservoirs it is common to identify potentials that go beyond the contracted areas.
With this acquisition, which should be operated by Potiguar E&P, a company will have participation in 35 concessions in the Potiguar Basin, reinforcing its position as the largest independent operator in the State of Rio Grande do Norte.
